Jose’s fascination with animals began as a little boy in Mexico where he was surrounded by dogs, horses, pigeons, chickens, and more. He dreamed of being a veterinarian and his knack for working with dogs and horses was
noted by friends and family early on.
As an adult, Jose got his start as an animal professional when he joined the Greenlee County Sheriff’s Department as an Animal Control Officer. It quickly became a way of life, and he soon began to volunteer for different rescue organizations and co-founded Pit n’ Proud, a non-profit bully breed advocacy and education organization. Today, jose enjoys bringing a balance to dogs in need utilizing his pack and his passion to help facilitate communication
between dog and owner.
